i think that over the next week or so i will focus on revealing my favourite blogs – ones that i look forward to checking every day, and to begin with…

i’ve been avidly reading a blog by a girl called sarah known as saipua, who creates the most beautiful floral sculptures in her shop in new york.

reading her blog inspires me to buy flowers more often. i used to work in a florists and it was the most enjoyable part time job ive had… being able to play around with so many different shapes and colours of flowers and greenery was so enjoyable, and although i look forward to checking her blog and finding a new post, i also know that every new creation she posts breaks part of my heart…

i wonder if i can just abandon the career path i’m on, study floristry and open a little flower shop in a small seaside town … and live happily ever after ?

probably not, but until i can spend my days playing with unlimited buds and blooms, i’ll settle for buying the odd little plant or stem, and trying to capture how happy it makes me in a couple of snapshots…

i promise not to let this little plant die.

when spring comes around, it gets me in the mood plant bulbs and take polaroids of all the pretty flowers creeping their way out into the world again…

today, i just walked past some daffodils and hyacinths my mum has in a vase in the lounge. the smell of hyacinths is so sweet, strong and overpowering it put me in a very nostaligic mood, the photo below from anniebee at flickr captures it perfectly… and of course feeds my ever-increasing love for polaroids and how they can make anything beautiful…not that these flowers need much help…
